Join Dr Rob Casey (composer and Lecturer in Composition, Performance and Experimental Music at Ulster University) to explore the psychoacoustic experience of interference patterns that arise between sounds of slightly different frequencies. Using sine tones, acoustic instruments and a multi-channel immersive sound system, the event will introduce audiences in a hands-on way to the ideas of acoustics, psychoacoustics and audio perception.
Free admission for under-18s and students.
This event is presented in conjunction with Derry Sound Factory, a cooperation between Northern Lights Project and Ulster University Faculty of Arts Humanities & Social Sciences.
